When the chromium component of stainless steel comes into contact with oxygen, it forms a film on the surface of the stainless steel.

How to clean discolored stainless steel
You can use a stainless steel detergent or add baking soda and vinegar to warm water, cool the boiling water and use it as a detergent and wipe it off with a soft loofah.
